It’s OK to break your computer
It’s Friday and I’ve been busy all week, so here’s a short note to computer users of every skill level: don’t be afraid to break things. Sometimes you should even try to break things.
The point of this is so that you can have a better understanding of how things work by figuring out why they don’t work. If I ran out to a tech every time some software was broken, I’d be broke (Zing!). I also wouldn’t have learned anything.
Breaking things is OK, and it’s an inevitable part of using a computer. No matter how shiny your PC is, things don’t always “just work”. Think of problems as a learning opportunity, rather than a nuisance.
